Prepare your cable and phones for WhatsApp transfer
A working USB data connection is the starting point. Check the phone ports, permissions and available space before preparing your chats.

01
Choose a data cable for your phone ports
Look at the actual ports on both phones: USB-C or Lightning. Use a compatible cable that carries data, adding an OTG adapter if the Android connection requires one. A cable that charges successfully may still be unsuitable for transfer.
- USB-C iPhone: use a compatible data-capable USB-C connection.
- Lightning iPhone: use a compatible Lightning data cable and an OTG adapter where needed.
- Avoid loose connectors and check the cable with a known working data connection.
02
Unlock, trust and allow USB access
Keep both phones unlocked when prompted. Accept the iPhone Trust request and Android USB access for the connection. If a prompt disappears, reconnect and follow the app’s connection checks.
- Allow access only to the devices and application you are using.
- Do not change unrelated security settings to imitate a desktop tutorial.
- Managed-device restrictions may require help from the device administrator.
03
Make room for preparation and restoration
Your destination needs space for the incoming data, and the preparation process may also need temporary space on Android. Check both phones rather than comparing only the backup size with destination free space.
- Charge both phones before connecting them.
- Keep important source and destination data backed up.
- Use the released app’s storage and compatibility checks; no fixed extra-space ratio is assumed here.
04
Check the release requirements
Compatibility is a combination of the Movapper release, Android and iOS versions, WhatsApp app type and data source. Follow the requirements distributed with the actual app.
- Confirm WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business before starting.
- Keep access to the account phone number and any required backup credentials.
- Follow the direction-specific guide instead of switching between instructions for different tools.
